The Harry Winston Ocean Chrono watch

The Harry Winston Ocean Chrono watch is a magnificent luxury timepiece that unites exclusive materials, superlative craftsmanship, and a unique mechanical complication. The Harry Winston Ocean Chrono watch features a 44mm case made entirely from 18K white gold or 18K rose gold. Unmistakably Harry Winston, the case design of the Ocean Chrono watch is exceptional in its complexity, and the demands it places upon those skilled enough to finish it to completion. The brushed finish atop the bezel transitions flawlessly into high-lustre polish on the case lugs, and crown protectors, which feature the subtle shape of the archway leading into the Harry Winston boutique.
The Harry Winston Ocean Chrono watch is animated by an exceptional movement. Originally introduced in the company's famous Z1 Chronograph watch, this mechanism represented a world premiere. Using the outstanding basis of the Frederic Piguet 1185 chronograph movement, Harry Winston's watchmakers succeeded in brin ging to life for the first time, a chronograph mechanism with entirely retrograde functions. Visible through the exhibition sapphire caseback, this movement shows off its luxurious Cotes de Geneve and perlage finishing, as well as a gold rotor complete with the Harry Winston "HW" logo. The dial of the Harry Winston Ocean Chrono watch is likewise a masterpiece of subtlety and elegant complexity, displaying a flawless vertically grained texture that offers an outstanding contrast with the satin finished main time dial, and semi-circular dials for the retrograde indications; a close look at each of these applied white or rose gold elements reveals that each has edges which have been painstakingly beveled. At 9 and 3 o'clock, respectively, can be found the 12-hour and 30-minute totalizer, while the scale at 6 o'clock represents the chronograph primary second hand. Right inside this scale lies a tiny circular window which reveals a tiny shuriken in richly blued steel, which r epresents the sub-seconds hand of the watch; it rotates continuously so long as the watch remains running.
The Harry Winston Ocean Chrono watch is completed by a highly detailed rubber strap, which is intricately shaped to fit the complex case lugs. It is accented with the same shuriken symbol that appears in the sub-seconds window, and features an 18K white gold buckle. Harry Winston also offers the Ocean Chrono watch in warmly colored 18K rose gold and an alligator strap, as well as a stunning white gold version complete with a mother of pearl dial, and more than 5 carats total weight of brilliant-cut or baguette-cut diamonds.
