Spitfire Double Chronograph


Spitfire Double Chronograph or Doppelchronograph Spitfire is a mechanical pilot watch with automatic winding. It uses the IWC caliber 79230 with integrated chronograph which has a module for the spilt-second feature.
This brushed 3-piece case comes in stainless steel with a diameter of 42mm and a thickness of 16.8mm. It has additional ductile iron inside of the curved case for magnetic field deviation with very thick sapphire crystal and is depressurization-resistant to 6atm (60m).
The screw-down crown has case protection pushers for the spilt-second chronograph at 10 and comes with screw-on back. It is available in crocodile leather straps with steel clasp or matching metal bracelet. There is also a choice of having a Classic black dial.
The opalin, soleil brushed dial comes with grained hour ring with luminescent Arabic numerals and baton markers in rhodium-plated brass. This is accompanied by luminescent lozenge hands also in rhodium-plated brass.
The chronograph indications include day of the week and date at 3, accompanied with hour counter at 6, a small seconds at 9 with minute counter at 12. In addition, it has a center second and spilt second counter. The minute track comes with ¼ second divisions.
